It's looking really good. I can't wait to see more updates. I would love to see the final touches you made. Because of this, I'm considering building an island near the newly-built pool.

This is looking good. I have had my Primo XL for almost 2 years. I used BBQCoach framing as well. It went together really nice. Once suggestion. My shelf that I sit the Primo on holds water. It is perfectly flat but when it rains or I wash down the island it does pool. Obviously the feet of the Primo will protect it. However if I was to do it again I would either tilt the shelf backwards a little (1/8"), level the primo with the feet, and add a drain that was in the back. Or tilt it forwards a little and level the front two feet.

Hey - the pool inspector is working double duty as the outdoor kitchen inspector. I was hoping you would use some leftover pool tile - I really liked your accent tile. -Karen
I had to stop for the holidays but we did build in a slight incline for the water (thou it doesn't rain often here) and as to the tile for accent, that will probably go into the stucco body).
As to condensation, if you put in the body side vents (a must if you are using gas) that will help to allow the island to "breathe"
and speaking of rain, we just got some so I wanted to protect the backer board from getting too wet.

First door is in, next part arrives tomorrow. Yes it's level, the framing looks a little off.

So last night, decided to try open grilling (without deflectors) these steaks vs. the gas and OMG was it amazing! The grill "flavor" from the other smokes/cooks only makes the grilling that much better and I will no longer grill steaks on gas at home and whenever possible.

Thanks all, I am using either/or El Diablo or Royal Oak (normally I use ED) both burn well, low ash or strange flavors.
I've never seen ED. I use RO all the time. Burns down to almost nothing. With 10 lb in the primo I can hold 225 for 24+ hours.

Update - the other part arrived and installed it last night along with some more cement board..... should be ready to tile and stucco this weekend!

Yeah I drawer was a requirement for me and for some tools.
Tile is now done (minus small area to grout) and the green is I used the MAPEI Mapelastic Aquadefense (probably overkill here) but left to do is the edge from the primo and the stucco/paint.
