Looking good man. Can you tell me why you decided to go with the Primo vs. the Green Egg? are there really that different?

Size... really that's what I came down to and the better support I had seen before and since (online) from Primo.
For me I went and looked at both at a local BBQ shop and if you imagine a Turkey/Brisket/Large rack of ribs, the egg being round creates many challenges.
I love my primo BTW!

Almost completely done with the tile, now it's grout/clean up and then to stucco.
Added commerical grade lights to the pergola last night

Love my Primo XL. Oval shape is great, split grill makes it more versatile and it is made in USA.
Looks great! Except for one HUGE problem. There isn't any smoke coming out of that Primo! :chef:
Looking great! I agree though. You need some smoke. If I remember I cooked on mine while it was on the metal studs.

Is there a worse feeling? Rip Primogrill lid ... I'll be calling/file online the warranty claim. Strangest thing, it was not windy, had just turned my back for a few minutes (nothing unusual) and while I was 10 feet or so away from it (thankfully so were the dogs) it came crashing down. Then the realization of what just happened?!?! I still had Ribeyes to cook and while "harder" to do on an open fire, I got thru it. Unreal experience for sure and not sure what failed.

Claim filed, now waiting to hear back from Primo. I am really depressed about this (well it's all relative) that this happened and have to start over.
Good new, Primo is covering under warranty and sending replacement parts under warranty. I get to cover part of the shipping ($59) but very pleased with their customer service.
Thank you Primo for being a great company and standing behind your product!
