Has Anyone Personally Blasted off a Scum Line With a Soda/Air Blaster?

I have the compressor, and Harbor Freight (our cheapo Chinese tool store), has a sand blaster that can use soda. Whatever the heck "soda" is.

The pro's use this to do the job, but I'm curious to speak to someone who has hands on experience.

Thanks in advance...

I tried this myself with the harbor freight tool. Didn't work for me.
1. The hose kept collapsing while trying to use it. (you can fix this by getting a thicker hose)
2. My air compressor didn't have the capacity. Check yours. Unless it's industrial grade, it's probably insufficient too.
3. It kept plugging. Use a dryer on your compressor. It may help.
I ended up trading mine for one that attaches to a pressure washer, but this didn't work either. Ended up doing everything with pumice stone and elbow grease.
"Soda" This, as I understand it, is simply baking soda. You can get a 50lb bag at Harbor Freight too.
