I have a 30ft agp. Getting ready to close for winter here in Cen IL. Have installed a Dryco drain in my cover. My ? is , Do I need any other pillow or expansion device in my climate area. Can get very cold here. Will leave water up to near top of skimmer and am installing a skimmer front plug in skimmer front to keep water out of skimmer. I am putting a gizzmo into empty skimmer just in case plug would fail and water got in there. Plan on securing cover with cable, shrink wrap and clips. I live in the country and my pool is on the north side of my house. Is my pool safe or do I need more expansion protection in pool water area ? Any experiences out there with this drain and cold weather ?
