Just looking for thoughts and opinions on this here since I didn't get a lot of responses in the opening closing forum. I lowered my pool a couple feet below the light but didn't blow out the main drain, my thought was it would just fill back up. After more research I plan to add AF to it in hopes that the AF will keep it from freezing in the pipe. I will have to add back through the pump since it appears that the pipe is glued to the pump housing, not a big deal. How much AF will I need in there since there will be water in the pipe the same level as the pool? 4 gallons, more? I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post my set-up. Thanks for the help.
