Coquina Coping

I just had my pool resurfaced, and now want to tackle the cracking Coquina coping and stain it. I have been reading many searches about filling with all sorts of stuff and decided to do what I do when I work on my corvette, so here I am

I just want to patch/fill in cracks and smooth out the texture and stain it.

Any suggestions?
