How change Summer Escapes pump?

I have a 12' x 30' summer escapes quick ring pool and wanted to know if there is a way of upgrading the pump

Not to be flippant, but, just buy a bigger pump... Even within the world of Summer Escapes or Intex pump/filter combos there are better choices than the unit packaged with a 12' x 30" pool. Even those larger pump/filter units have inadequate filter area, but still would do a better job than what you have now.

What kind of details are you concerned about? That might get a more useful conversation going.
