Pool Winter Cover

My current solid winter pool cover has a few small holes, so when we drain the top of the pool cover it sucks a bit of water from underneath the cover. I want to replace the cover and Im not ready to buy a safety cover yet. Wondering where to buy a decent one online. What should I look for?

I saw this online and looks like i has decent reviews but its really cheap!

I buy a new cover every year. Cheapest one at the store $46. This site has saved me way more than that this year. I have tried many different ways of storing and none worked out for me. I ended up draining down the pool. The birds here poke holes in the cover to get water.
 
Sorry this might not help your dilemma but the holes have not been an issue for us. We buy our winter cover from the local pool store. It lasts 2-3 years. Small holes that develop are not enough to cause substantial water loss when draining the cover. This year I will be using rafts/floats under the winter cover to help with the water buildup and ease of cleaning the cover. I am considering a mesh cover for the future.
 
Does the freezing temperature affect the rafts over the winter? I am trying to figure out a better method than last two years. I need something to make a peak in the cover so snow will not tear the cover but slide down and off - if not, at least to the sides of the pool so I can reach it to clean off. This year I am trying a tarp (20 x 20) with bungee cords to keep it fastened and in place. ANY SUGGESTIONS GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED!!!
 
I've used the floats the last two years and it was very cold the first year. The floats made it thru and still going on the one in contact with the water all winter. My neighbor has used floats for about 18 years and that's where I got the idea.
 
Mr. Cheap chiming in here. My pool is a 34' x 17' oval. I buy 8-mil black plastic in 20' x 100' rolls, and cut it into 2 40' lengths (get 2 covers out of it). Have 72 2"x8"x16" concrete blocks (about 50 cents each) that I use to hold it down with. Usually get 2-3 years out of each cover, which figures out to less than $20/year. After draining down past the water lines, dump in about 3 gallons of chlorine, and that's it. Since it's black plastic and lets no light in, when I uncover it the next year, water is about as clear as it was when I covered it. Been doing it this way for 39 years (back from when I was poor and had no choice), and it's worked OK so far.
