Green pool after SLAMing for 4 days now...not getting better!

cmbx2mom, your signature information shows that the pool was installed this summer, and your first post mentioned that you've used BBB method all along -- so, you probably haven't been adding unknown amounts of CYA via pucks or powders. If you can remember how much stabilizer you put into your (relatively) new pool, that should give you a cross check on what your CYA levels are likely to be now. Then you'll be more certain that your SLAM level for FC is high enough to get the job done efficiently.

Doing a SLAM when no one is using the pool, and you just want to close up shop for the winter, is tedious -- good luck, and I hope you get to the end soon!

Pool is now clear!!! Pressure went up yesterday so I flushed out the cellulose again and it had some green color to it. Didn't have time to take filter apart last night so replaced cellulose and restarted pump. Will take filter apart tonite to try and clean out last bit of algae.....does anyone have a recommendation on how to get of all green specs on the fingers? I'm gonna try to spray a bleach solution on it, let it sit then hose off again. Will be doing OCLT tonite and hoping to close pool this weekend!

Might want to get the FC up to shock levels before performing this test. I usually bring my water to shock level a few days prior to closing and close when the FC gets between regular and shock levels, so it works out well for when you close this weekend.

Make sure that you follow the OCLT to a "T":
