Can you add Borax in a saltwater system?

Hi,
I'm just curious if this is possible and if it is anything to watch out for? I presume just like a chlorine pool but wanted to be sure.

Sure, Borax for raising PH and borates for algae/water feel/and PH buffering are both fine with a SWG.

If you are adding borates to 30-50 ppm you should get TA in range before adding borates. Other than that there aren't any issues.

Borates are especially useful in a salt pool. That is why there are so many products on the market aimed at salt pools that contain borax!
