I have an older pool/hot tub combo. Our jets moved the water through fine however when we turn the knob on the top that let in the air to make bubbles water comes out of the knob. Any solution ?
Do you have a blower for the hot tub? If so, make sure it's working. If it doesn't have a blower, then maybe it never did have bubbles. Usually hot tubs in combination have a separate blower to create bubbles in just the spa.
No blower. It runs off of the same pump as the pool and the water circulation is fine but it had 2 valves at the top which you could turn and they allow air in which created the bubbles. Now water comes out of the valve
Is there a vent for each jet or just one for all jets. If the latter, one of the jets could have a blockage somewhere. Try removing all the jet nozzles inside the spa wall and flush out the system. Is this a gunite spa?
In a shared vent system, which is what I think you have, if one of the lines is blocked, then water can come out of the vent. So I would remove all the nozzles (requires a long socket wrench) and run the spa without the nozzles to see if anything is stuck in there. Also, check to make sure each jet has a nozzle installed and all jets are operational.
