Bubbles From Only One Return

Here's kind of a strange one: my pool has three returns but only one has bubbles coming from it. I only have one 2" return line from the equipment pad that services all three returns, so if I have a suction-side air leak into the system, why am I only getting bubbles in one place and not all three?

It's pretty common to get bubbles only from one return. They go the easiest route.
