After 13 years of operation the Pinnacle 3/4 HP pump is making a loud screeching noise - I assume it is a ball bearing - and it is also leaking a bit. So I guess it is time to replace it. Endless Pools has a replacement pump that is a different model, as the one I have is no longer made, so I wonder if I should just get a pump on the internet. Any Endless Pool owners who did that? I

If you can determine that it's just the motor end of the pump, you can just replace that "half." I would search the internets to see if you can find the replacement for just the dry end of the pump, the motor. Should be less expensive.

Maybe this one? http://www.poolplaza.com/P-MGT-60-5108-PI.html

Also replace the shaft seal while you're at it. Should be done when replacing motor. Link to that is at bottom of that page I linked, if that's the correct one. Not sure about that retailer as I've never used them but you can shop around.

Thanks! I ended up buying a Pentair Superflo 3/4 HP. It will needed to be raised to fit the piping, but I hope that's not too much a challenge ...
