Methods to unplug an intake

My in ground has two skimmers and two bottom intakes for lack of a better word. My son put a black rubber stopper in the bottom intake on the shallow end of the pool and it turned out to be a bit too small. Consequently, it was sucked into the pipe.

Any suggestions how to get that rubber cork out?

Can you tell how far it went into the pipe?

try putting your garden hose into the drain port inside the skimmer box and blow it back
if you pack some rags around the hose you might be able to build up a bit of pressure
or same idea but with pressure washer

Does the uh have any metal on it? (Like the expanding rubber plugs?). If so a magnet. If not, can you see it?

Where does the pipe end up?

If it's at a valve at the equipment pad, you can disassemble the valve to access the PVC line the stopper is in and use a Drain King hose attachment to blow it out.
