Pool party tomorrow - Chlorine level?

(20 people) * (4 grams per person-hour) * (1000 mg/g) / (60567 liters) = 1.3 mg/L/hour so only if all 20 people were in the pool for several hours would you need to significantly elevate the chlorine level. I'd say if you raised it to 8 ppm you should be OK unless all 20 are going to stay in the pool for more than a couple of hours. Odds are only some will be in the pool at any given time. Of course, factor in your normal daily loss rate which is probably around 1.5 ppm FC (which excludes overnight loss). You can then just add more chlorine right after the party is over as needed.

This also assumes these adults don't pee in the pool.
