    Spider Gasket

    How can you tell if it needs replacement? I took mine apart and it looks to be ok, just trying to rule out that it's not leaking sand back into the pool.

    27' AG 17,000 gallon
    Hayward 220 Sand Filter

    Depends on the model, but generally, the same thing you would look for in a bad o-ring: improper seating, gouges or other physical damage, etc.
