    SWG and a Basic pH

Fired up the SWG 2 weeks ago. Seems to be running fine.
But I seem to be running basic. a tad over 8.2 .

How do I bring it down?

Muriatic acid. Use PoolMath to calculate the amount required. Also take a look at Pool School which describes the recommended chemicals and how to add them.

    I will take another gander.
I added a quart last week and it brought it down.
Will it keep going back up?
I was told by my dadinlaw that I would be using acid a lot...?

If your pH is constantly going too high, then your TA is too high. Try lowering the TA to about 60 ppm and then maintain the pH at about 7.6 to 7.8.

No. Baking soda increases TA. The muriatic acid will lower the TA as well as lower the pH.
