    Backfilling an in ground pool.

My pool guy told me it was imperative to wait 30 days for the dirt to settle around the walls of my pool before completion. Is this correct? He said I would have a finished product by the 2nd week in Sept., which will make this project 11 weeks old. Need feedback. He is finally coming back Monday to work and I need to be prepared.

    Welcome to TFP!

Yes, in most inground pool installs, you need to let the backfill settle in before covering around the pool with concrete decking. If this isn't done, you will have voids under the deck.
