    PoolMath vs Chlorine/CYA Chart

I'm a little confused about the proper FC / CYA levels.

    I have a CYA of 30.
PoolMath gives the proper FC range of 2-6 ppm FC
The Chlorine/CYA chart gives Min 2 / Target 4 ppm

I bring my FC to the "proper" level every evening.
Should I top it off at 6 ppm or 4 ppm?

Whatever level you need to ensure it never drops below 2ppm. Depends on your daily chlorine loss.

If you are losing more than 3 or so FC ppm daily, consider increasing your cya level. I'm at 60 CYA 3 hours East of you and still do as an example.

I think I'm okay in that regard.
I've been topping out at 6 ppm every evening. I lose 2.5 ppm a day, max.
I started about a week ago topping it at 5. Since then 1.5 - 2 is the most loss I've seen.

In that case aim for 5 so that you have a little bit of wiggle room with your FC.

How do I aim for 5?
Does that mean make 5 my minimum?
Bring it up to 5 every evening?

That means target 5 so it does not drop below the minimum by the next day.

Let me try to nail this down.
    "Target" 5?
Lets say that late this evening I test FC and it reads 3.5
Should I add enough bleach to bring that reading up to 5?
My minimum is 2 ppm. CYA is 30.
