TF-100 test kit question

I inherited a TF-100 test kit with an above ground pool. It does not have the scoop in it for the chlorine drop test. I know I can buy one but for now can anyone give me an estimate of how much R-870 powder to use.

It does not take much. You could use the little clip on a pen cap. As long as the water turns a nice pink and there might be a few crystals undissolved, it should be plenty. You can not use too much, but too little can be problematic.

the spoon is about 3/16 inch diameter so you have an idea it is only a small amount

It's just a pinch. Literally, like a pinch of salt. Hardly any at all.

I'd be willing to bet Dave will send you all the scoops you need for $.15 a pop. I'd also bet they can go first class mail in a regular sized envelope for the cost of a stamp?

Thanks for the responses. I reordered the reagents and got a spoon with them so I am now set.
