    Kick Start Help Please

Hi folks. Newbie here and will post more details later. I've just installed a 52"/27' round above ground pool. Only have test strips and will be ordering a better test kit but for now...water has been in for a week and want to get some bleach in there....how much and what level should I shoot for?...maintenance level of 2-3 ppm or should I be shocking to start?

    Thanks

    Welcome to TFP!!!

You have had water in the pool for a week and have not added any bleach? Have you added any stabilizer yet?
I would have to guess that something must be growing the pool by now and required the SLAM process which requires the recommended test kit.
