Difference in recommendations?

I was looking at the following two posts:

and I noticed that there is a small difference in the recommendations:

Min FC: 3 vs 4
CYA: 60 vs 70

Is this a significant difference or just personal preference?

It looks to me that CYA is 70-80ppm in both links. Chlorine levels depend on the CYA level, so you need to look at the Chlorine CYA Chart as the first link recommends

I followed the CYA Chart link and that's where my question started from. The table has a CYA of 60 line in it for SWG.

This implied that this would be a minimum level, but I completely agree that the recommendation is consistently 70 in both. Thoughts?

There is no minimum level for CYA with a SWG pool. There are only recommendations for where we think they work best.

The suggested CYA level for SWG's is a balance between sun exposure, maximizing SWG Cell life, and ability to maintain chlorine at reasonable levels. Therefore we generally suggest slightly higher CYA levels for pools with high levels of sun exposure or are located in sunbelt states.
