Tiles Coming Off Of Pool and Eroding

I have a gunite in-ground pool and my tiles are starting to come off. On top of that, when I opened up the pool this season where the tiles were is now starting to erode away. I'm not sure what is causing this other than possible old age. I was wondering if this is a fix I can do myself (I'm not too handy) or if I'll need a professional. Here are some pics. Thank you.

Is that a big ol' crack in the plaster right there where the tiles came off?

Yeah, it's a big crack going across and a big gap on the left side in the pic.

Well, I used a product called EZ Patch 22 to stick some tiles back on and it worked great! However, I didn't have any significant cracks in the plaster bed behind the tiles. Maybe we need some advice from an expert before you try my fix.
