Calculator question

Looking at the calculator (PoolMath) and putting the numbers at 10,000 gallon pool......present no chlorine but wanting it to be 4 ppm.... calc says to get that I could use 6.9 oz. of cal hypo at 73% in volume. Now does that mean I could take a gallon of water and mix 6.9 oz. and pour it in and that would do that? Thank You Dave G.

Yes, if you pour a mixture of one-gallon of water mixed with 6.9 oz by volume of 73% cal-hypo into a 10,000 gallon pool, that will increase the FC of the pool by 4 ppm.

Add chemicals to water. Do not put your chemical in a bucket then add water.
