Our current pool/spa system (6 x 9 SPA) uses single VS 3050 and runs thru clear and clean 400 filter and max temp 400 heather (all pentair) feeding 7 mini-storm (Waterway) 12 GPM jets using 2" return pipe over 120' with drop of 10' to pool equipment pad. Suction is 2 1/2" pipe.
At 3450 RPM we see 72 GPM between pump and filter. Jets performance is mediocre.
Question: shall we upsize the jets return pipe to 2 1/2" to get less refraction and by doing so could we get better jets performance or waste more money and get dedicated VS 3050 to use for jets without filter and heather ( 2 1/2" return and 3" suction) and having filtered & heated water run using pool pump to the SPA?
