I have the 2006 which I have used for a few years. I was thinking why bring it out if all I need daily is the OTO, Do I really need the 2006 for everyday when the OTO would do just fine. Right? Wrong? Thanks Dave G

Well, the stock answer is can you post a full set of test results....

But, if your CYA allows you to keep FC below 5ppm (limit of OTO testing) then yes, that can be your daily test along with the pH test.

I would still run a full set of tests weekly (not including CYA) to make sure nothing else gets too out of hand.

Depends on your CYA level... If its within specs.. then using the OTO comparator daily is good... but at least once a week you should probably still DPD test for chlorine level.. and every few weeks go through all the tests. If you CYA is higher than recommended, than the OTO test wouldn't test high enough to give you a value.
