Booster pump leaking at the hose fittings

To make a very long story short, I had all kinds of trouble with my old Pentair LA01N and found it cheaper to buy a whole new one on Amazon for $200. I replaced it last night, keeping the old hoses but putting new fittings on the pump side. It ran fine this morning but little jets of water were coming out of the hose fittings when it was on. I turned it off so I can address it when I get home. I manually screwed the fittings in per the instructions that came with the pump, but I didn't use any kind of lube or teflon tape. I'm thinking of swapping to the new hoses that came with the pump also, but should I use any kind of sealant, lube or tape for the connections between pump and fitting, and fitting and hose?

I'd like to get whatever I need on the way home if I can.

Thanks!
