Should I drain some water?

Hi all, I have a salt water pool
Cya level is 95
Ph 7.2
FC 6.5
Cc 0
Ta 50
Do I need to drain pool like pool math says ? Says I should drain 16%

Hello , now I'm seeing white particles in the water with the high cya any thoughts on what I should do ?

hello cya is too high . pool math is telling me to empty 16% of my pool . here are my readings
fc 6.5
cc 0
tc 6.5
ta 50 added baking soda as told by pool math
cya 95

The white particles are probably a result of your swg reversing polarity to self clean itself. Probably not much to worry about. Though I was a little myself when I started seeing them after I installed mine. But they disappeared quickly and haven't been seen since. You might want to do the drain and refill to get your cya down to 70-80 range

TA is a little low. What is your CH? Although CH doesn't matter in an above ground pool, it does if it gets too high. White particles are usually from high CH.

cya 95 sw do i need to drain

pool calculator says drain 16% just checking to se if I have to

thanks all . I still don't know if I should be alarmed and empty the 16% or not from the post. I didn't just fill it but cya was only 20 so I added and must have put in to much . so I guess my question is with a cya of 95 is it necessary to drain.
also ive got fc but no other chlorine is that dangerous ?I don't want a green pool as to fill it is costly

I would suggest you check out ABCs of Water Chemistry because based on your question about chlorine, you have not fully grasped the chemistry. Also review Water Balance for SWGs.

If your water is clear and the SWG is maintaining adequate FC, then the CYA is fine. If you need to SLAM, then you might consider lowering the CYA.

im sorry i really didn't know i hadn't kept them in one place. i try never to use this as i i don't know how and once i learn i forget anyways . i do not trust my pool store at all and buy all my supplies from tfp

sorry i was told the pool math is the bible so im scared and yes i have read it and it seems conflicting and confusing. i guess im just not good with chemistry and technology
