When to run the filter

Is it better for the pool to run the filter at night or during the day, or does it matter? Of course, if my area is ever under an energy shortage like happens where I used to live, I'll run it when they tell me it is best to run it.

It is just slightly better to run the pump during the day. But if you have time of day electrical rates, the cost savings makes it worth running at night.

We have time of day rates so we run our pump 3 hours from 9pm - 12am, 3 hours from 6am - 9am, and then four 15 minute intervals spread throughout the day to keep the water circulated.

When you hook-up the SWG, you'll have to adjust the run time of your pump.

Every pool is different, but you'll get hang of what your pool needs during times of weather, pool load and what your test results show.
