how to connect 1.5" Backwash hose and Intex 2800gph Sand filter

Hi all,

I have an Intex 2800 GPH sand filter and a standard 1.5" backwash hose. How can I connect these? I haven't found any adapters that allows me to connect the hose directly to the filter without using an Intex hose in the middle.

I used 1.5" barb fitting and the modified adapter found on this site for the Intex pool connections

My new pump came with new Intex hoses. I used one of my old intex hoses to make my adapter.

1- On one end I cut the "flange" off with my miter saw.
2- Slide the gray "nut" off.
3- The backwash hose fits perfectly over the end that is left.
4- Attach with hose clamp.

I'm not sure what size backwash hose I used if they offere multiple sizes, but it is standard from the backwash hose section.
