This turbo shock I have says 75% chlorine and 22% other ingredients. I checked the effects of pool chemicals and it didnt say it adds any cya. Just CH and salt. Does anyone know how much cya a 16oz bag will raise the cya? Just wondering.

Thanks again Jason for answering my questions. So since my CH is low anyway,150, this stuff should be good to use to super chlorinate my pool if it needs it since it is 75% chlorine concentrate
If you maintain the right FC levels consistently, you may never need to superchlorinate aka "shock." You can use that stuff instead of bleach until the CH gets up to 300 or so.
But you have a vinyl pool and low CH does not matter.
Also, usually bleach is cheaper if you look at cost per ppm of FC.

That is the plan, I've been following the TFP method and the water is crystal clear. I'm just looking at the chems I've already bought and the only thing worse than spending money I didnt need to is looking at it sitting there. I appreciate the help.
