Last Dead Thread, I promise - Intex SWG(s) for IG

Tired of trying to fit chlorine jugs in trash.

I don't know why the Intex units are so much cheaper than the IG units, but, reading from past threads. there seems to be no overwhelming opposition to them.

Before spend a day looking up tech specs - can these be safely used in IG pools.

Don't understand the wiring length restrictions, but, worse case, I install a 220v-to-110 converter at the pad.

Does the low price mean:

New cells every 6 weeks?
Whole new units every 6 months?

IOW: Longevity of the units and/or cells.

Thanks for any responses, esp. if you have been using one (or more) of these in an iG long enough to need to replace cells.

There is another thread that mentions that you may not be able to have the Intex SWG running while you are in the pool due to safety reasons.

I can not speak to the longevity of the cells and systems.
