Aqua Rite Salt System Circuit Light blinks on and off

The light on our salt water system continuously blinks on and off - and the system is not working properly. Is this a sign that we need to replace the whole circuit breaker as being recommended by pool supply company, or is there a more cost effective repair to try first?
