    That price was from 2008.

    The price fluctuates quite a bit. A fairly good price these days is around $5 to $9/lb, depending on quantity. For example 5 lbs for $8.40/lb here or for larger quantities 22 lbs for under $5/lb here. Of course both of these links will go bad fairly quickly.
