Storage of Chemicals

I have been keeping my chemicals in a deck box by the pool, will the heat in Florida affect the chemicals? Not testing chemicals... Thanks

The heat is not good for liquid chlorine. Others normal chemicals should not be affected. A note that you should not be storing the bleach and muriatic acid together if you are.

Don't put MA in your garage either. I found out the hard way that the outgassing will eat everything in there in pretty short time.

Aren't MA bottles sealed tight, there not vented like my chlorine jugs, or am I wrong. I am storing them outside next to my deck box.

The seal on my "new" bottles is often eaten away. It makes opening them a pain. I started keeping them where they get fresh air after rusting some stuff.

While it is dangerous to store MA and chlorine together, you don't want to anyway. Since a cool dark place is unlikely to be well ventilated (in the summer).

I'll keep them outside by the deck box, I don't have any little ones to get into them. Thanks for the heads up...
