I am looking to get a paver patio around my newly lined steel wall 20' x 40' inground pool, so I have been getting a bunch of estimates to do my comparison. The problem I have run into is every estimate has had a different installation technique. Advise would be greatly appreciated as to which solution/price is best. Pricing based on Techo Bloc pavers (mix of rectangle and square pavers)
Estimate 1: install a 3' concrete skirt around the entire pool. Morter bullnose coping pavers, install pavers over concrete using sand as base, any paver which go past concrete base would be installed in your traditional manner (6" compacting base material plus 1" sand (cost $11.50 sq foot) (1470 sq foot). Price also includes relocating sprinklers, removal of aprox 100' of hedges, regrade and seed disturbed areas, remove existing brick
Estimate 2: install concrete base under entire paver patio using 3" RCA base, concrete would be 2-3" thick and installed using rebar/ wire mesh. Pavers would be installed with .5" sand over concrete base. (cost $9.00 sq foot, 1470 sq ft). Price also includes relocation of sprinkler heads, regrading and seeding disturbed areas, remove existing brick
Estimate 3: install a 8" skirt around perimeter of pool for bullnose coping pavers. Balance of paver would be install with 6" compacted base plus 1" sand. ($12 sq foot, 1470 sq ft) Price also includes removal of hedges(100'), regrading and seeding disturbed areas, remove existing brick but does not include sprinkler relocation.
