Natural Chemistry

 Welcome to TFP!!!

My only thought is that just about everything you mentioned is not needed for any reason and thus a waste of money. Why put chemicals in the pool that are not needed and why pay more for the same chemicals that you can get from a hardware or grocery store just because they slap a fancy name on them?

Phosphate levels are meaningless and just a way for pool stores to sell you over-priced magic potions ;)

They are food for algae. But, if you maintain adequate FC levels (which are a function of your CYA), then the algae can not live in the first place, so who cares how much food there is?

Keep reading and asking :)
