Confused if I can use a vacuum that attaches to an intex pump

I have a 14' Intex and as you can see from the picture its one of those cartridge pumps. Someone once told me for those you have to use the garden hose vacuum? is that true or can I actually use a real vacuum? If so how would I attach an actual vacuum like this for instance. My pump is 1000 GPH and has 1 1/4 hoses. Thanks. I am kind of a newb at this so be gentle How could I attach this vacuum hose and vacuum head to my pump?

    This is my pool

This thread might help. If not, try the search box for things like intex vacuum adaptor.
16K freeform gunite with spa; Pentair 4000 DE filter; Century Whisperflow 1 HP; Pentair Minimax heater.
Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!
