Ok so I have a polygroup pro series 16x48 pool. I upgraded the pump to the intex 3,000 gph sandpump and the saltwater system. First time I used the vac I put the hose over the return shoot to get all the air out of it then used the skimmer plate with nothing in the skimmer no basket or filter to restrict the flow. Well the suction was so much the entire skimmer started sucking in and collapsing. Turned it off then open the little valve on the side of the skimmer basket that seem to help let some pressure out. Well now the basket in the sandpump loses water flow and seems like its not getting enough suction have to open the top to let all the air out.
I am at a loss not sure how I can vacuum my pool any ideas ?
