so we have a bleach price thread , how about a MA price thread ?

OR where's the best place to buy MA ?

seems like $6-7 is the going rate around here & I'm adding it VERY often

I actually go to Texsun pool, 4 gallons for around $20. Sometimes they run a special and you get 25% off a case.

There's a local hardware store in my area where you can get 2 gallons of the full strength (31%) for $10, outside by the plants. In the same store in the paint section, you can get a single gallon for $7.25. I actually buy the latter, because I don't use much MA these days, maybe a gallon every 2 months, and the bottle seems stronger to me, less flimsy.

Menards sells a gallon of 31.45% for $3.99 in the paint department. Puts the other big box hardware store in my locale to shame as they are around $7.

You can get a giant tub of dry acid from Leslie's for about 10 bucks. That is if you don't mind disolving the acid first. I always buy the liquid acid from Home Depot about $7 less my military veteran discount.

We typically don't recommend dry acid since it raises sulfate levels. (muriatic-acid-vs-dry-acid)

BUT it's like bleach you aren't mentioning the strength ??

Menards was 3.99 until I went there earlier in the week and it went up a buck. Now it's 4.99 for 31.45 % by weight http://www.menards.com/main/paint/cl...906-c-8156.htm

Coonspool, are you using the Green Envy ?? http://www.menards.com/main/paint/cl...901-c-8156.htm

The gallon I get from Rural King is 31.5%
The gallon at Menards is unknown to me......looking at the price...I didn't even look at it, but it was in a red label not green. I would say it is the SUNNYSIDE brand.
