After countless trips to pool store for chemicals and for suggestions that did not help my pool or my wallet A friend of mine, whom is registered user on this site (IWilk), introduced me to the TF-100 and helped me get my pool lined back out from being overcome by algae. Took me nearly 2 weeks but all was good. Returned the kit to friend and continued to add chlorine at the recommended level that had stayed true for 5 days straight. I Just opened my new TF-100 kit that I just had to order. Ready to get this pool back to new and usable. 2 days ago water began to turn greenish again.
Added 22 oz 31.45% Muratic acid to lower Ph. It was at 8.2 yesterday evening.
1 hour later added 52 oz 8.25% bleach
Here are my test results as of today
FC = 1
CC = .5
TA = 90
PH = 7.8
CYA = 20 I guess (dot disappears for split second but reappears when I stopped adding solution) *repeated test several times with same results
Are my numbers okay to continue for the slamming process? I'm still in process of adding more muriatic acid to get PH down to 7.5. Pool calculator says add 10 oz muriatic acid.
Should I not worry on the chlorine level where as I add no more till I get the PH right? I read that that the PH testing levels would be inaccurate once the slamming process is started.
Thanks,
Redford
