New to the pool world, lots of questions!

My husband and I are considering a backyard renovation next spring, and are looking to put up our first ever AGP. After seeing soft-walled models on clearance at Wal-Mart, we decided to look into our options more in depth now so we can make some initial decisions. Has anyone owned both a soft-walled and a hard-walled pool, and which did you prefer? Also, are hard-sided pools compatible with SWCGs? Which type of pool is more energy efficient/ easier to maintain in the long run? If we are going to do it, we want to do it right, and we are clueless! Thank you!

Welcome to TFP. There's an above ground pool section, start over there. Also when you're ready to install the pool, spend time reading pool school (button at top of the page) so you can learn to balance your own water instead of wasting money at a pool store.
