Filter pressure dropped from 15 to 5 PSI

I was working on the pool; everything ok. Heard a click noise from the pump area and then the filter pressure dropped from 15 to 5 PSI. Water is still flowing through the pump/filter, but lots of bubbles in the pump basket, very slow water flow from the return. Replaced the pump basket o-ring, released air from the filter, flashed the pump to skimmer line via garden hose just in case there is any clog or so; but still no luck. The pressure is really low.

Any thoughts? Did the pump broke (please note that the pump is still running)? What else I can do before spending couple of hundred dollars to replace the pump.

Thanks, I tried that, but still no luck. Do you think something happened to the pump? This is still running, but I did hear a click noise right before the pressure went down.
