The pool fill is just a week old now. pH has been consistently 7.8 to 7.4 over the week. Alkalinity is 80. I add 30-40 oz of 6% bleach daily to obtain 4 ppm FC. The FC tests at 1 to 1.5 just before adding the bleach.
I added 35 oz dry condition in a sock starting as the pool fill started. It has been fully dissolved for 3 days now. I just tested for cyanuric acid and it tests off the scale. It is close at 30 ppm but I can still see the black dot when the small vial is full (Taylor K-2006 test kit). Does it take more time for CYA levels to be testable? Or do I need more CYA to get to 40?
