I have been shocking the beejeebees out of it for a few days now, but it is still very cloudy and crummy looking. Pool party on Saturday and I am desperate to get this remedied (of course, it has been beautiful all summer until 3 days before the party <sigh>)

I have lots of chemicals and bleach on hand, but am out of POP, so hopefully that isn't the problem...

I'll trust your Taylor CYA of 60. So, with CYA 60, your shock level should be about 24.

Get some bleach in there! I'd drop that pH a little, too.

Are you brushing and running your filter 24/7 ?

After you get your pool cleared, you should try lowering your alk.

Let us know how it is going.
