    How Difficult and expensive is it to take a 650 SF pool and enlarge it by 100 to150SF

    Would this entail a complete redo?

    That is just about as difficult as tearing out the entire pool and starting from scratch.

    The difficult and expensive part in California would be finding and paying the engineer to prepare and sign off on the plans.

    I think finding that engineer and a PB would be very difficult.

    It partially depends on the shape of the pool, which you gave no clue about. It also depends on how you want to add that 100 or so sqft.

    It would just be to the deep end in a free form but fairly straight pool. As a result, we would like to add some gunite to expand the shallow end to keep the pool from being 4/5 deep.
