bubbles?

Greetings,

My pool has been a rollercoaster, or rather taking care of it has been.
We seem to get algae so incredibly easy. Maybe because one long wall of the pool is hit by the sun all day. I dont know, but the algae is a constant battle.

Now another problem, it appears that there are bubbles, or foam in the pool. I think probably from too much chlorine. Any advice for what caused this and how to fix?

Please post a full set of test results, without them we can't help you. Are you using trichlor tabs for chlorination by any chance?

Waterbear is right....we'll need some test results. Meanwhile, you can be reassured that too much chlorine is not your issue....we'll figure out what it is.

i checked chlorine and it was about 1.5
ph is 8.3

using bleach from pool store, 12.5%

Sounds like you are using a 2 way tester. That is not enough. We need numbers for free chlorine, combined chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and CYA (Cyanuric acid or stabilzier).
BTW, your pH is WAY too high.

Also, I believe some algaecides can cause foaming. Did you add any algaecide by chance?
