I would suggest a x style cross brace on the backside to keep it from being wobbly, otherwise its looking great! I need to make something for ours too, tired of the old up and over ladder it came with. And my 75 year old mom just cannot do the ladder anymore, needs a better staircase.

Excellent idea! What do you have for the inside portion of the pool?

I'm thinking of just attaching ladder it came with but just using half the ladder and rigging it to top step.

Wife didn't like the ladder style I had thrown together, was too steep for her. So when I had the lumber scraps available, I made these:
