Pumping remaining water out with pool pump

I have about a foot or so of (gross) water I need to get out for liner replacement. Is is possible to use the pool pump to do this given that it would either be sitting on the deck or I'd have to find a longer hose and go over wall? Any placement/priming issues?

My intex pump wouldn't lift water out of the pool. Your best bet would be to rent or borrow a sump pump.

I agree, the pool pump will not "lift" water, you need a sump or utility pump to get the rest out.
