Oh boy! We got a late start this year, got our old (First year 2008) 24 X 52 Intex Metal Frame up, got water approx 7 inches and discovered a leak at the seam around the bottom. Given that we had already used that pool 6 summers already, we did not want to risk the seam blowing. We drained and took it down.
This afternoon we put a new 22 X 52 Intex Ultra Frame up, and started the hose.
Question is, if we put the solar cover we bought last summer to fit the larger pool in while this new pool is filling, will it help with warming the water up faster?
We are in MA, so our season for swimming is not that long, so we hope this might speed up our warming time. Will it?
